Later this week, Madeleine and Ton will tie the knot and we are already looking forward to their wedding day! A while ago they came into our studio for their pre-wedding photoshoot or engagement session. The photo’s from this pre-wedding photoshoot were used for their wedding-card-that-wasn’t-a-card and will be appearing throughout the wedding.

When we do an engagement session for the wedding announcement, we usually do the design for the cards, but in this case the bride and groom designed their cards themselves. Ton is a photographer as well and he had a pretty set idea of what he wanted for their wedding invitation: a large print in A3-size in the style of a film poster, with the outlines of a silhouette image “filled” with other images of the two of them. The result is amazing. I should really ask Ton to share the design with our blog readers, but I don’t want to add anything to his ‘to do list’ this close to his wedding day! But believe you me: the invitation is awesome! These are a few images used in their card. The first photo is used as their silhouette image that is ‘filled’ with lots of other images. Wicked

Sorry, this entry is only available in Nederlands.

We often have the priviledge to photograph an engagement session for the bride and groom, many times for their wedding announcement. We then usually get to design the announcement as well. It’s lots of fun! But since the wedding announcement and the images from the engagement session need to be kept ‘secret’ until the wedding (or at least until the wedding announcements are sent out), we can’t usually share those shoots right away.

Well, Cora and Joost have meanwhile tied the knot, so here’s a few images from their engagement shoot and the outside of their wedding announcement!

Soon on the blog: phots from their wedding day!
