They have known each other for a long time. They were friends. When Irene lived abroad, she’d visit Ronald every time she was in the country. They would look each other up all the time, really. And during a weekend get away in Berlin, they finally admitted that this thing that was going on between them might be more than just friendship. That was the beginning of this beautiful relationship, that was sealed with rings, the ‘I Do’s’ and a kiss on this cold November day. Irene and Ronald were looking for a nice venue were they could celebrate their wedding day: ceremony, reception, dinner with friends and family and of course a grand party to end their wedding day. When they visited Twiskerslot, they knew right away that this was the perfect venue for their perfect day!
The bride and groom decided to both get ready at the Twiskerslot.
The father of the bride helped his daughter getting dressed – I don’t think I’ve seen a Dad do this before, it was a very special moment!
We started our photoshoot inside the Twiskerslot – great light and nice settings for photos..

We then went outside for some more photos. It was pretty cold, but the bride was a total trooper! We took some pictures with the Twiskerslot in the background, we then walked to neighbor Kees’ farm and the little church across the street from our studio (it was fun to have a photosession this close to home – Twiskerslot is literally only a few houses away from where we live).
Back in the Twiskerslot, the bride and groom waited for the big moment: the start of their wedding ceremony. And we took the opportunity to quickly snap this shot:
